Trust me, I get it. You are about to spend more on this day than your housing last month. You have done so much work finding a venue, photographer, wedding planner... You name it. The last thing you want to happen is that you go to get your photos taken and you don't know how to pose!
That is why I've taken the time to put together this little guide for you. I have photographed countless sessions where couples feel uncomfortable in front of the camera at first, and if I was completely honest with you, I feel the same way. YOU ARE NOT ALONE
For starters lets clear the air and acknowledge that we are all humans and not typical super models. A lot of those models you see throughout the internet have spent years figuring out their best angles n such. That being said, lets get right into this guide to make you look fantastic in photos and videos.
1. Every single pose you do should either feel natural, or the photographer will guide you into a natural pose. You should never have to think... "I probably look awkward" because unless you do actually look awkward, the photographer will assist you into making you look incredible. I often tell my clients to interact with each other just as if I wasn't there. Candids make for the best photos in my opinion and they flow so naturally.
2. Always keep your eyes on your partner or your surroundings unless otherwise told so. If you want to keep the magical flow, lock those eyes onto your future partner! Eye contact will keep you focused and who knows, maybe a little kiss will happen.
3. Don't know what to do with your hands??? You have a few options here. Your first option is to put them anywhere on your partner. It will look beautiful and pure because you two are in love. Your second option is to just leave them unclenched and at your side. Ladies, if you want to be feminine you can keep a couple of your fingers extended and touching each other. Lastly, if you don't know what to do with your hands, you can put them in your pocket to give a nice and relaxed look.
The most important thing of all to remember is to enjoy they day and most importantly your signifcant other!
Whisper something sweet in their ear...
Tell them a little joke...
Tell them how much you love them...
Celebrate life with them.
Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to read this blog! Please feel free to browse the website and our other blogs!
